What is street life?
Street life is a daily struggle for survival, children on the streets suffer hunger child labour, drug abuse, physical abuse, lack of shelter, lack of education, neglect and diseases. Street children may live full or part time on the streets. Any or all of these children benefit from the care of RCRC.
Why do children come to the streets?
There several reasons which lead children to the streets such as; family disintegration, famine and drought especially in Northern Uganda, orphaned, extreme poverty and child abuse.
How are we helping the street children?
We help the street children through re-integrating them with their families and communities. We get a safe environment for the child as he/she goes through rehabilitation before starting school.
